– Remote configuration

## NVR Integration

### Adding to Hikvision NVR

**Method 1 – Plug & Play (PoE NVR):**
1. Connect camera to NVR PoE port
2. Camera auto-detected
3. Activate if prompted
4. Auto-configured

**Method 2 – Manual Add:**
1. Go to Camera Management

Formula:
“`
Storage (GB) = (Bitrate (Mbps) × 3600 × 24 × Days) / (8 × 1024)
“`

Example: 4Mbps camera, 30 days
– (4 × 3600 × 24 × 30) / (8 × 1024) = 1265 GB ≈ 1.3TB

## Motion Detection

### Setting Up Detection

– Exclude areas with motion (trees, roads)
– Multiple areas can be defined

### Sensitivity Guidelines

| Location | Sensitivity | Threshold |
|———-|————-|———–|
| Indoor | 40-60 | 20-30 |
| Outdoor (calm) | 30-50 | 30-40 |
| Outdoor (windy) | 20-40 | 40-50 |

## Advanced Features

### Poor Image Quality

1. Clean lens
2. Check focus (auto or manual)
3. Adjust exposure settings
4. Enable WDR if backlit
5. Check bandwidth (may be throttled)

### Night Vision Issues

1. Check IR LEDs are on (red glow visible)
2. Remove IR filter obstruction
3. Adjust IR intensity
4. Check power supply (PoE may be insufficient)
5. Clean glass dome/cover

### Hik-Connect Offline

1. Verify internet connection
2. Check platform access enabled
3. Verify verification code
